What it is
Five stages cross the region. In 2026 there were finishes in Tavira, on Fóia (Monchique), a time trial in Vilamoura, Lagos, and the decider on the Alto do Malhão in Loulé.
Watching is free — just pick a spot on the route. The final climbs of Fóia and Malhão have the best atmosphere.
Tips for your visit
- On mountain stages, walk or cycle up early: roads close before the race passes.
- Check the route and expected passing times on the official website.
- Bring warm clothes for Fóia — the top of the Monchique hills is cold in February.
