Blog Algarve Férias brings together beach guides and tips for anyone spending a holiday in the Algarve. A new guide comes out every week, written in European Portuguese and translated into English, Spanish and French.
What you will find here
Each guide explains where the beach is, how to get there, where to park, what the access is like, the best time of year to visit and what to do nearby. The goal is for you to arrive at the beach already knowing what to expect, with no surprises about stairs, traffic queues or tides.
How we write
The texts are informative and general. Beach conditions change through the year and from one year to the next: access, parking, beach services, opening hours and prices can all change. So before you travel, always check the information with local authorities, such as the town council and the maritime authorities.
Photos
The photos in our guides use free licences (Creative Commons or public domain) and come from Wikimedia Commons. Under each image we credit the author and the licence. If you find a photo with the wrong credit, let us know and we will fix it.
The Algarve Férias ecosystem
This blog is part of the Algarve Férias ecosystem. In each guide, in the section about where to stay and what to book, we point to algarve-ferias.com, with accommodation and experiences in the Algarve, and to algarve-reviews.com, with reviews of accommodation and experiences.
