What it is
It’s mostly a local, family event — a nice way to see Faro outside high season, with the feel of old-style Portuguese fairs.
At the previous edition the fair opened Sunday to Thursday from 14:00 to midnight, and until 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
Tips for your visit
- Try farturas and roasted chestnuts — it’s their season.
- In the late afternoon, add a visit to the Cathedral and the old town, a short walk away.
- Weekends are busier; weekdays are calmer.
