The Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix is held at the Algarve International Circuit, whose "rollercoaster" layout is a rider favourite. The contract has been extended and the race stays in Portimão until at least 2029.

2027 edition: 1–3 October 2027 (official calendar released in September 2026).
What it is
In 2026 it is the penultimate round of the championship, on 20–22 November. In 2027 it moves to early October (1–3 October), usually with milder weather.
Besides MotoGP, the weekend includes Moto2 and Moto3, so there is track action from Friday morning.
Tips for your visit
- In November bring a jacket: mornings at the circuit are cool and it may rain.
- Use the official car park and avoid leaving right after the main race — traffic takes a while to clear.
- Outside sessions, explore Portimão and Praia da Rocha, which are quiet at this time of year.
